How It Works

1

Book your removal survey

Tell us the number of rooms, property type, floor, lift access, and both addresses. For Eixample buildings with original small lifts, or addresses in the Gothic Quarter, we note this upfront to plan the team size and access approach correctly.

2

Receive your fixed price

We quote a fixed price for the whole job, not hourly. You know the total cost before we arrive. Old town access surcharges (early-morning slot coordination) are included.

3

Moving day

Our team arrives on time, loads methodically with furniture blankets and straps, and secures the van. We handle staircase access for buildings without lifts — standard practice in Gràcia, the Eixample, and the old town.

4

Unloaded and placed exactly where you want

At your new home, we unload carefully and place items in whichever room you specify. Bed and flat-pack furniture reassembly is available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you handle no-lift buildings in Gràcia and Eixample?

A large proportion of Barcelona's pre-war apartment stock in Gràcia, Eixample, and the old town has no lift or tiny original lifts (60cm wide — too small for most furniture). We carry all items by hand on the stairs and use stair-climbing trolleys for heavy items. We always ask about floor and lift access when quoting so the price accounts for stair-carry time. There are no surprises on moving day.

How far in advance do I need to book Barcelona removals?

For standard moves we recommend booking at least one week ahead, and two weeks for weekend dates in summer. July and September are the two busiest months — expat departures, student move-outs, and university intake all peak simultaneously. Book at least three weeks ahead for those months. January also sees a rental surge as many Barcelona leases end on December 31. Call us on 020 3318 4720 to check current availability.

Can you move between Barcelona and Madrid or Valencia?

Yes — long-distance moves within Spain are a regular service. Barcelona to Madrid (A-2, approximately 6.5 hours) and Barcelona to Valencia (AP-7, approximately 3.5 hours) are our two most popular inter-city routes. We offer both full-load and part-load options for smaller quantities. Fixed-price quotes provided before booking.

What's included in a Barcelona house removal?

Loading and unloading, furniture blankets and strapping, full goods-in-transit insurance, placement in correct rooms, and ZER compliance for city centre addresses. Furniture disassembly and reassembly is available at no extra charge for standard items. We also provide packing materials for an additional fee.

Do you handle the Gothic Quarter and old town moves?

Yes — though these require specific planning. The Barri Gòtic, El Raval, El Born, and La Barceloneta have streets too narrow for a full-size van. We use an LWB or small Transit and must access these streets in the early morning window (7–8am) before pedestrian restrictions and tourist congestion begin. A pre-move survey of the access route is strongly recommended for old town addresses.
